CDE to co-sponsor Oct. 16 book talk by Brian Merchant, author of Blood in the Machine: The Origins of the Rebellion against Big Tech

Tech journalist Brian Merchant comes to town (and campus) to talk about his new book Blood in the Machine, which is long-listed for the Financial Times best business book of the year. The New Yorker calls the book “a gripping narrative of political resistance.”

The conversation will be moderated by Katie J. Wells, postdoctoral Fritz Fellow in the Tech & Society initiative which is based in the Communication, Culture, and Technology Program. Wells is also an affiliated fellow with the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation and the Georgetown Global Cities Initiative. The Center for Digital Ethics, the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation, SFS’s Culture and Politics Program, and the Department of History are co-sponsoring the event.
