Who We Are
We are a dynamic, university-wide collaboration committed to building a new center for digital ethics that will help shape this emerging field. Our goal is to help the world cope with fundamental questions arising from the new field of digital ethics.
To frame the terms, design the systems, critique the contours, provide the guide rails and imagine the future of digital technologies and ethics for the betterment of humanity.
An academic community dedicated to creating and communicating knowledge, Georgetown is a Catholic and Jesuit, student-centered research university with a global scope and scale. Once core staff in place, we will contribute to the field of digital ethics by constructing theory, educational content, and practical guidance to practitioners. We will expand the work already occurring at Georgetown on the interface between computer science and regulatory design; design and build out course content; and convene key leaders in the information, defense, and regulatory sectors to shape and influence strategy.
