Oct. 29 Book Talk: “Data Grab” by Nick Couldry and Ulises A. Mejias
On October 29 from 1:20–3:00 pm, join the Tech Institute, the Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law, and the Center for Digital Ethics in welcoming Nick Couldry and Ulises Mejias for a discussion of their latest book, Data Grab: The New Colonialism of Big Tech and How to Fight Back.
Nick Couldry is a Professor of Media, Communications and Social Theory in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science; Ulises Mejias is a Professor of Communication Studies at the State University of New York at Oswego. Data Grab is their second book-length collaboration, following The Costs of Connection: How Data Is Colonizing Human Life and Appropriating It for Capitalism.
