AI Policy, Technology, and Public Service: A Conversation with Rep. Jay Obernolte (R-CA-23)

On Monday, February 10, the Center for Digital Ethics hosted a conversation with Representative Jay Obernolte (R-CA-23) on the subject of AI policy, technology, and public service. The event was co-sponsored by the Communication, Culture and Technology Program; the Tech and Public Policy Program at the McCourt School for Public Policy; and the Institute for Technology Law and Policy at Georgetown Law.

The program included a panel discussion with Professor Mark MacCarthy, who is an adjunct professor in the Communication, Culture, and Technology Program and in the Philosophy Department as well as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Institute for Technology Law and Policy at Georgetown Law and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow with the Center for Technology Innovation at the Brookings Institution, and Dr. Igor Mikolic-Torreira Director of Analysis at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), who was previously a Senior Fellow at the RAND Corporation, where he led research on military cyber operations, cyber weapon effects, and Army force structure.
